Tomorrow is the Anniversary of the 1990 Clean Air Act -- a Lot Has Been Accomplished

We are reminded that tomorrow (Nov. 15) marks the 23rd anniversary of the signing of the landmark Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.  Wow -- it seems like only yesterday!

There's a lot of work yet to be done, but it's worth a moment or two to look back at the law's many achievements, including cleaner air, better health, and economic growth. (Sometimes we forget that many businesses prosper with the cleanup.)

The U.S. EPA notes that protecting public health and building the economy go hand in hand.

And the details are truly breathtaking:

--fewer deaths
--less disease
--less acid rain
--growing businesses -- and a lot more.

When critics of the law and EPA protest, let's remember it's really done a lot of good.
