Below is a sample of the letters sent to House appropriators. As reported from the subcommittee, the spending bill would prevent EPA from moving ahead with this important smog-fighting plan.

The Honorable Debbie Wasserman Schultz
United States House of Representatives
118 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz:
The undersigned organizations are writing to strongly urge you to oppose and work to remove any
language in the Interior appropriations bill that would impede finalization and implementation of the
Tier 3 Motor Vehicle Emission and Fuel Standards.
As a diverse group of industry, companies, investors, environmental, consumer, labor, faith, recreation and science-based organizations representing millions of Americans, we support these cleaner gasoline and vehicles standards because they will reduce air pollution, save lives, and create thousands of new jobs in an ailing economy. For all these reasons, hundreds of thousands of people from across the country have individually weighed in with the EPA in support of finalizing the Tier 3 standards by the end of this year.
Please work to ensure that this important program can be finalized without delay.
